My electrophysiologist /cardiologist referred me to Dr. Lepor to address familial hypercholesterolemia. He has been attentive, spending extended time with me, digging into my family history and medical history. His nurse practitioner, Joana, documented everything meticulously in her clinical notes. The office staff, especially Julie, are kind and caring. He has been successful in acquiring the correct medications to see huge results in lowering my cholesterol. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Dr Lepor and his team are magnificent. I did a year-long clinical trial with them and I was exceptionally well. The staff is very attentive and detail oriented and always made me feel comfortable. Maria Flores was took very good care of me. I would recommend Dr Lepor to anyone looking for a top notch cardiologist.

Dr. Lapore and his team are always timely, efficient, and responsive. I feel extremely confident in the care and support I've received. Nayeli Aguillon, his senior clinical research coordinator, has been especially helpful to me throughout my involvement there. I highly recommended Dr. Lapore and his associates.

From the first moment that I began the study at the National Heart Institute I felt that I was in good hands. They are very thorough in explaining why the study is being conducted and why the participants are important. I first met with Dr. Lepor for an evaluation and explanation. Thereafter I was seen by Dr. Ali Maher whose bedside manner is extremely comfortable. I was not told whether or not I was getting the medication or a placebo. But I knew that I received the medication as the dosage changed over time. Ali was very helpful in adjusting the dosage due to changes in my tolerance levels. One the absolute worst office staff, mostly the one who is supposedly handling Prior Authorizations. I must've left half a dozen messages for her and didn't get a response. When I finally spoke to her, she said it wasn't her responsibility and gave someone else's name in the office as the person in charge. I found out that she lied to me about it and in fact she's responsible. My insurance asked for doctor's notes and she finally, after so much delay sent half of the stuff and but not the important docs like my ekg, and prior results for which doctor wanted me to have more exams. So I was denied because of her lack of care. I've been trying to get her to work my insurance for my angio CT and they have been completely unresponsive for over a month. Now denied because of her. I can't have the exam done because of her incompetence and not giving a hoot about anyone. I hope she's replaced because her actions could potentially cause lives. After all this is all about our tickers, not a scraped skin. UPDATE FEB 11, 2025 After my I nitial review, the front office person by the name of Julie contacted me and kept asking me to remove her name from my review. She said the person in charge was Elizabeth, whom never returned any of my calls. I've sent several emails to Julie and left messages for both of them for over the past month. Not one reply or call back. This place is a sham. I don't know what kind of practice Lepor is having there. What I do know is he doesn't give a damn about me or you. It's all about running bills and charging insurances. He's even got this greeting message on his office number about some kind of research for so many years and keeps trying to get patients to sign into it! Frankly I don't think he cares if any of us drop dead. For a so called cardiologist who is supposed to take care of your ticker, that's the last place you'd want to be. He knows I'm high risk and doesn't care one bit. Of course his staff follow the same non caring practice. For your own sake go find a qualified doctor. Lepor isn't one.
