Dr. Martinez is a wonderful physician. He has worked closely with me over a period of time to develop a treatment regimen for my condition. Throughout the period of treatment, he's always asking how things are going and is willing to work with me to alter the treatment if he feels it would be to my benefit. He is unfailingly courteous and kind. His nurses and support staff are also very professional and make you feel valued as a patient. I trust him implicitly and would highly recommend him to anyone. For a short time, I was under the care of another neurologist who did very little for me and did not listen to my concerns. Dr. Martinez is the complete opposite of that. My experience has been very positive. I would highly recommend him.

I am sharing a letter I wrote to Raquel, Stephanie's assistant. Yes, you don't ever see the doctor only his staff. In 2 years I have seen him twice. But that's not what my problem is. It's the 48 hour policy for return calls and the time it has taken to get any care at all for my hands. When you need to talk to them about a situation that is timely...forget it. You have to become the kind of person you don't want to become to get any of their attention. 9-11-2025 I wrote: Dear Raquel, It takes my insurance 14 days to process once they receive the request when it is submitted routine. I told you this information. You knew it took my insurance 14 days to authorize if flagged routine. You said you would submit the request for Hands on Hands today since your office had neglected to follow through on September 3 and submit it then. When I asked you how much longer I would have to wait, you said a day or two. You put my mind at ease because you disingenuously led me to believe I wouldn't have to wait another 14 days but all along you knew you were submitting the request routine and it would take 2 weeks. It has been already 8 days since the authorization should have been submitted. Now, I will have to wait another 14. If I had not called today I would have never heard from you or my insurance again because your office dropped the ball. You have rushed an authorization before with the request for a nerve conductive study. When I walked into your office to find out when the authorization had been submitted, your office admitted they had not sent it yet.. It was never sent to my insurance because it was still sitting on Dr. Martinez desk. That day your office submitted the request "urgent" because it had already been close to two weeks since the authorization was supposed to be submitted. I have been asking for help from your office since June and now it's September. It will be October before I get any physical therapy to start helping my hands back to recovery. I can't deal with this any longer, I quit...you win. You will be happy to know that if I can help it, I will not be a patient of this physician in the future. I have had enough. I hurt and am tired of trying to get medical help from your office. If I didn't hurt, I would be tired of the waiting and games that you play. I will update this review if things change but I won't be holding my breath. ------------------------------- Update 9-27-2025 The request for authorization took the full 14 days to be approved. I had anticipated it would and called and made future appointments with Hands on Hands, the physical therapy clinic, before my authorization came through. I was worried once I got my authorization it would take weeks to get appointments with the physical therapist. So when I viewed my new authorization online in my chart portal to my horror Dr. Kenneth Martinez only authorized 1 more visit rather than a series of visits which would be typical for my condition. I was told I would have to get a new authorization because it had been coded wrong. I thought, another 14 days? I called the physical therapist to tell them what happened. They were very surprised at the lack of care I had received. I guess they felt sorry for me and said they could resubmit the request with the right codes and mark it urgent. This happened Thursday and I just got approved today for the 12 visits I was supposed to get in the first place. Hands on Hands in Laguna Hills, my hands thank you. My review of Dr. Martinez's office still stands and unfortunately the evidence of his negligence continues. It stinks from the fish head down.

I was given an appointment for Feb, which is 5 months from today. I am surprised by how busy the Dr is and how patients can wait for that long. I hope you have a system that is based on who needs to see the Dr first. If the office is that busy, reducing the number of patients seems to be a logical avenue With my respect Dr A Sabetpour

Dr. Martinez invited me to audio-record our office visit. I saw that as a sign of his integrity. It means he carefully and accurately speaks and is not afraid to be recorded. It shows he is confident. I applaud him.

Unprofessional office ... I would not waste my time scheduling to go to this office. It's hard enough getting thru to schedule an appointment which you have to wait 3 months out.. which I did wait all for them to call me the the day before less then 24hrs from my appointment telling me they have to cancel my appointment and re schedule me another month out! Wow.. what a way to care about your patients and forbid it's an issue you need to be seen for that is urgent. Go somewhere else if you want to see a doctor.
