I'm dying at 33 because he brushed me off. I was so hopeful to get help from Dr. Evans. My legs had been swelling since March and I was getting short of breath. They ran an ekg and it was normal. He came in and hyperfixated on the fact that I said I cannot get pregnant because I don't date men anymore. Like that was relevant whatsoever. He looked at my legs, didn't even touch them, and said "that's not edema, that's venous insufficiency." He offered no treatment, no education, no further testing. He ignored everything I said about the 3+ pitting in my ankles and fluctuations in the size of my legs from day to day. I am a nurse. I knew what it meant. He didn't care. 8 months later, I find out I am in severe congestive heart failure and now my 7 year old daughter who has already lost her father will lose her mother too. I could have gotten help so much sooner. But he didn't care. He didn't listen. I would sue, but I doubt I'll live long enough to see a win. Take yourself or your family to anyone else. Please. Your life may depend on it.
