Despite the complexity and gravity of the information, Dr. Broughton displayed remarkable patience and compassion, ensuring that I comprehended all aspects of his communication. Dr. Broughton continued to visit and support my father every morning for several weeks, even though he was no longer the primary physician in charge. He consistently answered questions, provided advice, and listened attentively, clearly demonstrating his investment in my father's recovery. I am pleased to report that my father is now doing well and has returned home after nearly 3 months in the hospital. Dr. Broughton did nothing while my father slipped further and further into depression, despite numerous calls from my mother asking for help. Their response over and over again was give the meds more time. He ultimately ended his life.
