Dr. Waqas is an extraordinary physician who, with his expertise and dedication, saved my father's life. My father became his patient following an emergency cardiac event that left his heart unable to function without intervention and assistance. Throughout the treatment process, Dr. Waqas communicated the severity of my father's condition clearly, yet he never allowed us to lose hope. It was apparent that, after observing my father's determination to survive, Dr. Waqas was committed to doing everything within his power to help my father recover. Despite a surgeon's prognosis that my father had only a 10% chance of leaving the hospital, Dr. Waqas remained steadfast in his efforts. Dr. Waqas meticulously laid out a detailed treatment plan and closely monitored my father's progress. He made necessary adjustments as needed and consistently addressed our questions and concerns, ensuring we adhered to the treatment plan. The success of this plan required the cooperation and support of surgeons, doctors, and other medical professionals, making it essential that it was followed precisely.There were moments when my father's progress did not align with the plan, necessitating difficult conversations with both my father and me. Throughout these interactions, Dr. Waqas was forthright, respectful, and compassionate. He consistently encouraged and empowered my father, positively impacting his mental state. My father developed a strong connection with Dr. Waqas, often smiling (a rare occurrence LOL!) when he and his team entered the room. Dr. Waqas engaged with my father in a manner that conveyed familiarity and respect, always shaking his hand, making eye contact, and often sitting to speak at eye level. Ultimately, Dr. Waqas' plan proved successful. After nearly three months and several close calls, my father is now home, doing well, and most importantly, ALIVE. Dr. Waqus and his incredible team along with the help from our Lord. Jesus saved my life. I was in another hospital, and my family was told that I would not make it and set a day to disconnect me from life-support. And one of the many miracles that were worked during this time Dr Waqus-nurse, and the sister of the other doctor talked on the phone about me. The other nurse said she couldn't stand watching my family and how committed they were to me how upset they were, and sharing the story with her sister. That sister went to Dr. Waqus about me. Dr. Waqus transferred me to Chi St. Vincent's hospital. I was in a coma from the time I arrived at the first hospital by helicopter and reminded one for over a month. It was very touching go for me throughout the month the doctor because showed my family kindness, confidence, knowledge, and empathy. Many times throughout this I didn't think I'd make it, but Dr Waqus never gave up. Once I woke up and recovered, I still use him. He is a specialist with my disease, which is DPAH. He is my hero. I still see him for follow ups and heart caths. My family and myself highly recommend Dr. Waqas and his team!
