My dear friend Armida Quiner went into a cardiac cath for an MTEER procedure to be performed by Dr Waggoner and afterwards, did not come out to speak to her niece who was waiting in recovery until she finally asked a nurse to get him. When he did, he was arrogant and uninterested in her follow-up. He said the procedure was unsuccessful because her Mitral valve was too calcified. Yet, this was known before the procedure. I would not recommend him by his lack of compassion and arrogant bedside manners. (I am a retired physician.)

Today, my godmother sees Dr. Waggoner for routine follow-up care, as she has found great comfort and trust in his ongoing treatment. His extensive knowledge and expertise give her complete confidence in her care, and you can tell he really cares about his patients and their caregivers and families. She travels over 400 miles just to come to her appointments with Dr. Waggoner and highly recommends him to anyone seeking exceptional care. His team members, including Sam Cristelli and Sydney Burke, have been equally wonderful - providing consistent, caring support that makes every visit a positive experience. Dr. Waggoner also ensured that my godmother was connected with pulmonary specialists, which had been incredibly difficult to arrange given all her complex health issues. His advocacy and coordination of her care has been invaluable. Thank you, Dr. Waggoner and your entire team, for not only saving my godmother's life but for providing her with the compassionate, comprehensive care that has restored her confidence in her health journey. Dr Thomas Waggoner is probably very good with the cardiac procedures. But he has Zero relatability. My wife saw him one time in preparation for a medical procedure that ended up not happening. We were with another Cardiologist at Pima Heart and were referred to Dr. Waggoner and let me tell you what the visit was like. He came in the room with a young female scribe and introduced himself briefly without making eye contact and sat on the edge of a desk pointed toward the scribe and about a quarter turned towards my wife and he just started dictating to describe her cardiac parameters or whatever. He was like a cyborg. Very rigid and machine length and character, he is not a warm or particularly empathetic person. My wife felt like she didn't even meet him as he directed none of his comments to her or me until he summarize briefly at the end without looking at us even and then turn to us again without eye contact, and left the room. My wife said she would never let a doctor like that touch her.. so before warned, warm relatability is not what you get from Dr. Wagner although he has a good reputation for his skills, but he is too much like a machine.

Dr. Waggoner was not honest with me about my procedure, they made me feel like a lab rat since he and his team did not explain to me at the beginning I was part of their medical trail. Plus I was lied that I was not going to be charged since it was a medical trial. The day of the surgery is when I signed the consent paperwork one minute before surgery and still the person lied that I would not be charged since was a medical trail. But they did charge me. And it was something new they were trying on me. Plus it didn't work. The device moved inside my heart and now I'm scared to go back to them since they were not honest with me.
