Cardiologist Rohit Kedia, MD is board certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology. He specializes in Cardiac Electrophysiology, the science of diagnosing and treating the electrical activities of the heart. After medical school at the University of Arizona, Dr Kedia completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California at Los Angeles, and Texas Heart Institute in Houston. For the last eight years, he has practiced in Lufkin Texas, where he was selected as one of the town's "Best Cardiologists" on multiple occasions. Dr Kedia served the Director of Electrophysiology at CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial Lufkin. He is a member of the American Medical Association, and the Heart Rhythm Society.

Dr. Rohit Kedia is so reassuring and skillful. He diagnosed my husband's need for a change in pacemaker type (increased capabilities) and he did an excellent job before, during and after surgery. Our follow ups have been very thorough and my husband's condition, strength and outlook have improved significantly.
I was Dr. Kedia's patient. I had a quadruple bypass heart surgery by a thoracic surgeon on May 3rd, 2024. Two months after the surgery, I was still struggling with breathing and very fast heartbeats (the resting heart rate of over 90 and going up to 125 in a short time with tightness in my chest). So I went to see Dr. Kedia. After he saw me and while he was looking at the chart and he told me, "You had the heart rate of 90 before the surgery..." He didn't finish his sentence. In other words, he was thinking that I should "live with that fast heart rate." That was it. He didn't say anything after that. As I was leaving his office, I said in my heart, "YOU'RE FIRED." I got a second opinion for my heart issue. The new cardiologist immediately ordered a Nuclear Stress Test and prescribed me a new medication which took my heart rate to the 80s. After the test, the new cardiologist told me that I still had multiple blockages. Eventually, I got stents inserted by another cardiologist this week. Why couldn't Dr. Kedia order a Nuclear Stress Test to check the inside of my heart? Why did he not prescribe the new medication? Did he not know? Maybe he should go back to the medical school and learn more. I was very polite to him, but he didn't bother to help me.
Dr. Rohit Kedia performed a heart ablation on my husband, who had AFIB for many years. We saw many heart doctors but they didn't compare to Dr. Kedia. Because of the heart ablation performed by Dr. Kedia, we can safely say, the AFIB is gone and no longer an issue for my husband. My husband no longer has to take heart medication. Dr. Kedia is compassionate about his work. He is a great communicator, explaining everything in detail so we could understand the procedure and does great follow up. We would highly recommend Dr. Rohit Kedia for the wonderful work he does with the heart. Thanks Dr. Kedia!
Dr Kedia did a heart ablation in Feb 2023 since I had SVT. It has corrected the issue. I love his dedicated work. I have a medical problem or issue he's hard to get in touch I was told to use the portal or go to the emergency room. With the portal there's a two days waiting period They should have an easier way to reach the doctor. I'm pleased with the service Dr. Kedia dedicated work. Could not ask for any better service.
Dr Rohit Kedia & his team (Gabe, Rhonda, Jose) are terrific. They explain issues concerning my medical status & plans for continued care in lay person terms. That makes me part of the medical team.They are willing without question to make adjustments due to another medical problem that requires my position not be routine for implant device check. They are knowledgeable, caring professionals. I feel fortunate to be under their expert care!
