Integrated Medical Services - Cardiology

Actually my rating is well below zero. I just came across this website and immediatly saw that Dr. Lorne Murray was on it! Plesse....be your own advocate for you heart care. I was seen by this Dr. yrs ago and he said that my echo caridogram was normal so see me next year. I asked him, on a radiology report I had It showed that I had calcifications. What about that? He looked me directly in the eye and said well, that's a normal part of women's aging. Don't worry about it and was very dismissive. It didn't feel right even though I did not have any symptoms such as shortness of breath, cgest disconfort or psin. I knew that I need to explore it further. So I went to Biltmore cardiology. I took a calcium score ct scan (10 to 15 min) just the regular one that a patient would pay for ($125) and found that my calcium score was 600! Which was quite high. Doctor Loli from Biltmore Cardiology said let's do an angiogram. When he did the angiogram, he had to do an angioplasty because my LAD which is called the Widowmaker artery was 99% blocked! Had I listened to the dismissive Dr. Murray, saying that it's a normal part of women's aging, I would not be here to write this. Its amazing that I did not have a heart attack with only 1%.Not blocked. You have to be your own advocate. Please seek another Dr. when the petson you see doesn't take the time to adress your questions or concerns. My experience is 100% true and I'm grateful to be here to share it with you. I had no symptons but I did have questions/concerns. Make sure you're heard.

I did not have a good experience with this doctor. In my visits, he came across as dismissive and uninterested in my case, and I often felt rushed and unheard. Before my appointment, I could hear staff giving him last-minute information about who I was, which made me feel like he hadn't taken the time to review my situation beforehand. I came in to discuss a medical concern, and although he said he "couldn't help me with it," he also said he would "try," which left me feeling like the visit wasn't productive and that my time was wasted. I also experienced a painful allergic reaction to the Holter monitor I was given. I called repeatedly over several weeks because the device was causing discomfort and eventually left a scar on my chest. Only later was I told that an alternative option existed the entire time. I wish I had been informed of that earlier, because it could have prevented a lot of pain and distress. Overall, based on my experience, I did not feel cared for or supported by this doctor, and I would not personally return or recommend this office.

I am a new patient and Mary actually had reviewed my records from a previous doctor. She listened to my heart ( for longer than what my past doctor did) and gave me assurance regarding my questions. She was not pushing drugs and that I liked. She is a keeper for my cardiology issues.

A nice office and the staff are good but I was charged a pretty sizable bill just for seeing the doctor for 15 minutes max. It reinforced my reasoning on why I am hesitant to see doctors. Bill does not accurately reflect services rendered.

I was in yesterday for my 6 month checkup at IMS Surprise. Dr. Murray and Mary Storts are my go to team for cardiology care. They never let me down.
