On July 1, I took my daughter for an ECHO at PCH Scottsdale Cardiology and when we walked in I was asked to pay $4333! It was explained to me that this included the MD visit, the ECHO and an outpatient hospital visit fee which was $3514. The Scottsdale office is registered as facility there they charge these fees! I told Anna at the front desk I will not pay this and to cancel and I'll look for care elsewhere. She said I could instead go to the Tempe cardiology office and get the echo done and pay $819 (this would include $631 for the echo and then I could do a telehealth appt with Dr Cohen to review results) she explained doing this would avoid the $3514 fee. I took this option, they booked my appt same day in Tempe at 2pm, took a $631 and sent me on my way. We got the echo done and finished everything we needed. Fast forward a month later I got a bill for $3821!!! They are billing me for getting the echo done at Scottsdale! I have tried calling so many times I cannot get anyone to listen to me! They keep putting my account in review and saying it's correct. It's fraudulent charging! I am at my whits end and considering getting a lawyer because PCH is doing fraudulent medical billing!
