I wouldn't exactly recommend this place for anything. Registration was positive, a large bruise was left by pre-op in my right arm trying to IV me. They used the left arm and no marks were left. One nurse who provided me body cleansing instructions didn't explain it like nurse Cheryl did. I overheard her state a distinct 1 wipe one for each limb, one for front and one for back. The guy didn't tell me about my back. Mid to low Back is extremely sore and in pain from the OR table. I understand these tables aren't comfortable but I've never had a surgery and came out of it with this much back pain from the OR table. Post op staff tried to rush me out of there, which is the most upsetting and concerning part because they put my comfort and healthcare last. They seemed more concerned with who was going to be at home for me than explaining any updates on how everything went or any data on post op levels. The anesthesiologist Stephanie was nice, knowledgeable and cared about addressing concerns related to complications so that's nice. They sent me home with some dressing and Bactracian so I can change it tomorrow and a couple ice packs, which I appreciate but honestly I would never want to go here again due to the post op staff and their ho-hum dismissive "get out of here, don't bother us, I wasn't talking to you and you just had surgery, so yeah there is pain" attitudes. FYI apathy is not medicine. The bathroom could have been cleaner, too, probably needed bleached.

Kudos to this hospital system! This is what healthcare should be. This hospital definitely puts patient care first. Their staff was so professional and caring. They were not rushed in giving care and listened to everything we had to say. Would highly recommend this hospital to my family and friends without hesitation! Excellent care!

I am writing this review in hopes that positive changes will be made to this hospital. A family member was recently hospitalized here for multiple days. There are numerous areas of improvement. First, the room itself was not clean, including the bathroom that had dirt and scum all over it. This is unacceptable for a hospital where people are trying to heal. The carpets on the hallway looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks and there was a bad smell. The lobby seems to be the only area that is maintained. Secondly, the nurses were not attentive or proactive. They barely visited the room to check on the patient and we had to call every time for medication or care. Third, the doctor was filled with ego and was more interested in speaking over the patient than providing explanation or care. Also, we had to wait almost 24 hours after being admitted to see a doctor, with no information about the condition or care plan. The only positive interaction we had was with the parking attendants downstairs. I hope they do better for anyone who is hospitalized here in the future.

Just had my first baby here on Tuesday. The experience was fantastic from beginning to end; from triage all the way to postpartum. The nurses and staff truly are so amazing and want to do anything they can to make the experience as positive as they can! My nurses Jordan and Hanna (l&d), and Stephanie, tracy, and Jennifer in postpartum thank you so much! I had a lot of anxiety surrounding labor and postpartum and you really are all fantastic at what you do and it makes a difference. Jordan in l&d is one of a kind, she stayed longer to stay with me during my birth. I will never forget how you all made my husband and I feel. Thank you so so much.

Honor Health Shea Medical Center is top notch. The Honor Health Cardiology team is outstanding. I have had many surgeries and other procedures at this hospital and have always been happy with my care. The hospital rooms are small and they are ageing a bit but as long as I receive outstanding care from the doctors, nurses, assistants that can be over looked. The doctors and nurses listen and ask questions to clarify. They are very caring. One thing that needs to be changed at the nurse stations is all the loud voices that can be heard through the a closed hospital door and the negative gossip I have heard while taking walks in the hallways. There should be more training and observation of the on duty staff. I have recommended this hospital and the Honor Health cardiology team to my friends.
