I love my Doctor and I've had nothing but good things to say until this point. I have made four calls over a two week period to get "prior authorization" on my medication. No one ever answers. No one ever calls back to messages left. I finally got to speak to an after hours operator today because they were at lunch. She promised me someone would return my call when their lunch was over. It's 8:23pm, maybe they're still at lunch. UPDATE: It's the 9th and the date for my next dose has come and gone. I'm still waiting for my medication... Update: It's now Sept 21st my third missed dose is due tomorrow. I was contacted by their office once right after writing my initial review. But nothing has been resolved and there has been no further communication.
They have very compassionate staff, which helps greatly when you're nervous and unsure of what's going on with your health. Nicole, our MA was wonderful, and Dr Cohen was knowledgeable and patient. He answered all of our questions and took our concerns seriously. I highly recommend this office!
FOLLOW-UP: They quickly reply to the negative review (like this one) and then don't follow through after that, either. First of all, no problem with my doctor or any of the medical staff, they're great! However, this is one of the most poorly run businesses I've ever encountered. They do not answer the phone. Ever. And for refills, if you leave a message, or multiple messages, they will not call you back. Portal messages, same thing. And I finally tried their "overflow" service,... while explaining my issue he hung up on me! As much as I like Dr. Cohen, I will need to switch providers soon because of how badly this company is run.
I had an appointment on January 8. Octavia called my name and walked me to the scale and then into the exam room. She was so friendly, cordial and pleasant. Whoever hired her should be commended. She made my visit enjoyable. Thank you, Octavia, you made my day. My only regret was I could only rate you five. You are an 8. God Bless you.
