I needed surgery clearance & u unfortunately my surgeon needed cardiac clearance no later than 3 weeks before surgery. Sosia at the scheduling desk was absolutely wonderful, she went & asked Dr about an appointment this month & got me in the following week. She went above & beyond for customer service and pleasant as can be. Many thanks for Dr. Mukesh G. for seeing me so soon.

Update: After this review, the office manager called and said she took care of the issue. The one star rating is from a recent issue of billing hassles. I like the staff and especially NPR Wright (5 Stars). During my last visit in July, they were switching over to a new computer system. My bills are paid by State Compensation Insurance Fund (Worker's Compensation) out of California. The office has my information on who to bill. A couple of weeks after my visit, I got a text message indicating that I owed over $200 for my visit. I called the number on the message and told them that Worker's Comp pays my bill and the person took the information. A short time later, I received a paper bill and called the number on the statement. It turns out, the billing company is a third party and they do not have the information from the office. I then took the bill to the office and explained the situation and the person from my doctor's office said she would pass the information on to the office manager and call me back when it was taken care of. Saturday, August 30th, I received another text indicating I still owe the money. I drove to the office yesterday, and after waiting some time, the desk person told me that the office manager was going to follow up on the matter. How long does it take the office manager to call the new billing company and pass on the information on who is responsible to pay my bill? It has been over two weeks and still no results. If this doesn't get taken care of before the next paper bill, I may be changing providers for my heart issues. If my credit takes a hit because of this issue, I will be contacting an attorney.

If you are looking for cardiovascular care, I would steer in a different direction. This practice is not managed well, you will wait 30 minutes or more on every phone call. The doctors must be so overbooked that they are short with me and my questions. I mean it's only your heart right? Don't have time for your questions, it's a very drive through feel. I just got rescheduled for a consultation appointment I made over a month ago due to an office mess up, and it took me over an hour to get through to a human being on the phone. Sad to have to say all this since my father got great care there but that was years ago and a different office. I have heard that this is a practice wide problem these days. uggghhh

My husband was seen through Banner for follow up a few months ago. The front desk was rude, and a screaming 3 yr old wouldn't stop. I told my primary to refer me to Banner in Tucson. I need to be seen but I will never attempt this office in Sahuarita again. All I can say is the receptionist must be the DRS relative or daughter, a very uncaring attitude and my husband had a heart bypass after seeing him. The DR needs to have a talk with the front desk on how to treat people with dignity, especially old white people

I had a positive experience here with Dr. Gopalakrishnan. I'm in my 30s with genetically high cholesterol. I was nervous about starting statins, but he reassured me helped me feel a lot better about it (and my health in general). My only complaint was that the waiting area smelled terrible. I don't know if they need better venting in the bathroom or if there is some sort of treatment they use frequently that smells bad, but it was terrible. It smelled a lot better once I was called back.
