I saw Dr. Hurst regarding an Echocardiogram that had concerning results. After multiple tests Dr. Hurst ultimately sent me to an Electrophysiologist for an Ablasion. If you are looking for a cardiologist I highly recommend Dr. Hurt. I loved the option to do televisits when practical rather than having to drive in to the office which is an hour from my house. Also, I appreciate the way he explained things to me so I could understand what was going on. Sometimes repeating things a different way so I could fully understand it. Also, his entire staff to include Brandy is very responsive to questions and anything else you need.

After discovering I had genetic high LP(a) and genetic high lipids I started looking for a doctor that practices Interventional Cardiology. I didn't want just a doctor that prescribed meds - I wanted a cardiologist that would help me keep my quality of life stable. I got lucky and found Dr. Hurst. First, Dr Hurst's location is great - the office is centrally located in Phoenix, AZ. Second, it was easy to make an appointment - I was able to see Dr. Hurst within two weeks. Third, Dr. Hurst is a very caring and competent doctor. At my first appointment I felt comfortable expressing my concerns about my lipid test scores and high LP(a) and to let him know that my goal is to keep my quality of life stable. Dr. Hurst asked to me to do several tests (stress, Dexafit Composition, Echo Cardiogram and more blood work). We met again to review the test results, set goals and a treatment plan was implemented. Throughout these two initial visits I developed a lot of faith that Dr. Hurst and his staff know what they doing. I was experiencing side effects with the prescribed statin and this was changed to another medication. Later I was prescribed Repatha and Dr. Hurst's nurse practitioner kindly showed me how to inoculate myself. I feel comfortable with Dr. Hurst and his staff - a remarkable medical office!
