NP Hector Vasquez is simply amazing. You can tell that he really cares about his patients and he listens and takes time to teach and make sure I understand. I never feel rushed and he is very thorough. I always leave feeling reassured and clear on the plan going forward. Today he called me right back when I called the office to ask about chest pain I was experiencing. He said to come right in to the office and he would see me immediately which is exactly what happened. Saved me an expensive trip to the ER. Could not recommend him and Dr Jamal highly enough!

Today 9-4 , I missed a phone call from Annette at biltmore cardiology. I was informed of test results that were positive and my actual time to come in was no needed. I truly appreciate all the hard work and information that the entire staff here at biltmore provides, I have been a patient of Dr Mix for years and her professional care her respect and treatment for me tells me she truly cares about everyone that comes into her practice. I cannot say enough great things about Dr Mix and the entire staff. Every aspect of a visit here shows a level of respect professional care and a feeling of being comfortable at the visit. Successful open heart surgery working with this group. This is a highly functioning team of professionals who worked to ensure my successful surgery and recovery. Patient, pleasant and personable in the hospital and during after care and follow ups. Special Kudos to Maricel Cabrera, FNP-NP for care and extra work to deal with a respiratory issue and to help verify document the urgency for my surgery. Sherry P checked on me regularly during my hospital stay and provided information and answered questions about my procedure, treatments and future plans. Hector provided routine updates to me and my spouse during hospitalization. A vital part of the office after-care support team is Nurse LaShell! She communicated with me via email to resolve an issue and followed up! My one issue, noted by others has to do with "wait times" in the office--that can be an issue! I witnessed firsthand a surgical patient in distress in the waiting room....medical staff interacted with her "out of order" because of her visible distress---so I understand WHY there are delays and can only hope I would receive that kind of attention if needed....not sure there's a solution without a lot of down-time for staff. My suggestion to patients---prepare for wait time with something to do, a drink and snack.

I feel so fortunate to work with such a talented medical team on my heart's health for the past 9 years. Dr. Mix, Jeanine, and Annette are amazing, caring, and detail oriented professionals.
