I first visited Dr. Desai back in April for a POTS evaluation. I was very grateful at the time because they were able to get me in with an appointment on a short notice as I was visiting from out of town. I will first say that the bedside manner of Dr. Desai is great. She took the time to listen to my entire story and ask questions to help understand my symptoms. She put me on the right path to diagnostic testing, diagnosis, and management of my POTS and I am grateful for her care. My biggest issue is cost. I knew going in that the practice did not take my insurance. I was told I would have to pay $3500 cash for my first visit. I reluctantly agreed thinking that was "normal" in the POTS world Although I appreciate the care I received there, everyone I have told about this including other medical providers were absolutely shocked. For listening to my entire story, performing basic orthostatic measurements by hand, and prescribing medication, I strongly believe that was an outrageous price. In addition, other potential patients have quoted their self pay cost being anywhere from $450-$650 as I see them posting on POTS support groups asking about Dr. Desai. I wish I could give the practice a higher rating, but that is firmly holding my experience back.

I'm a 55 year old male and I have been seeing Dr Desai at Arizona Heart 360 since 2020 when my Endocrinologist diagnosed me with high Cholestral. I had issues taking Statins and Dr Desai worked very hard to get me approved for Repatha that gave me no adverse side effects. My Cholestral is now extremely well controlled but I do still have some plaque buildup in my Cononary Artery. In November of 2024 she ordered a Heart CT scan to monitor the plaque and Dr Desai and the radiologist noticed what appeared to be Pulmonary fibrosis forming in my lungs. She immediately referred me to a Pulmonologist who confirmed it is indeed damage to my lungs. This would not have been caught had it not been for Dr Desai's attention to detail because I was not having any lung symptoms. As I was working on treatment for the Fibrosis I started having joint issues. This led me to find out I have Rheumatoid Arthritis an autoimmune disease which is the root cause of the fibrosis and most likely the plaque buildup. So I am currently being treated for the RA which should bring the other issues under control. I feel very fortunate that this was all caught early and I have no loss of lung function or permanent joint damage. Had Dr Desai not caught this it's hard to say how much longer I could have accumulated additional irreversible damage. I feel grateful that I chose her because sometimes in today's world Doctors are overwhelmed and just don't have time to go the extra mile. But she did, and my future could have looked very grim had she not. Instead it's possible that these serious conditions may have minimal impact on my future. My appreciation and trust in Dr Desai is unmatched and I can't recommend her enough.

Huge scam!!!! When I first called back to ask about insurance, the lady on the phone was very nice and professional. She confirmed that my insurance would be accepted. She said that they would call back to schedule an appointment. Later in the day, another young lady called and gathered more information on me including my reason for visiting the doctor. She kept "selling" me on the doctor and giving me canned speeches or rehearsed responses. She said that she could get me scheduled this week or next as they have had a few cancellations. She then told me about a $1000 "membership fee". She didn't use the word "concierge" like in the other reviews. I asked what it was for. I have insurance after all. Is it for lab work or imaging? She said any testing would be sent to a place that takes my insurance. Ok, so what is the membership fee for if my visits and bloodwork/imaging are covered by insurance? No answer. I rephrased the question: what benefits do I receive by becoming a member? Then she came up with "priority appointments". She stated that it normally takes 4-6months to get in. The membership gives you "priority". I asked if I could take an appointment in 4-6 months and not be a member. She said no. Everyone has to be a member. She added that another reason for the membership fee was because Dr. Desai is a solo practitioner. It's not my responsibility to cover the added expense of running your clinic solo. It's completely unethical to sell someone a membership that has no perks or benefits. A membership to what? For what? You don't get anything extra. Everything but the copay is covered by insurance. So I called her out on that 4-6 month wait list since she just offered me an appointment as early as this week. She became a little frazzled when I asked her if any of this made sense to her. Then, the other woman got on the phone and was immediately defensive. I asked her why she didn't tell me about this membership fee when I spoke to her earlier in the day. She said she didn't know if I was going to be a long term client or not. Neither of those gals were in charge of scheduling appointments as they soon admitted. They were just sniffing me out to sell that membership. I don't know anything about this doctor as a provider of care, but I'd stay away from her on account of her shady business practices.

Honestly don't know what to rate them. Amazing doctor & MA. They take zero insurance so I paid $650 my first visit and I was told that first visit like 5/6 tests were included and going to be done. ( my mom even came from out of town because my husband couldn't take the day off ) so I could go. I got there and sat in the waiting room for probably an hour. The MA took me back and then the MA did test for me to see if I have POTS. Waited another probably hour in the room alone, talked to the doctor and then waited long again, then was told I need compression socks and they're $50 each but I need them, and then they said I needed a sleep apnea test and I said ok so then I sat for another 40-45 minutes in a chair for them to set it up and be told it'll be another $350 for that. After waiting I declined. Who just has $650 for an appt then $350 for another test. Oh and they told me I would be getting a nacho and I wasn't ( that was another $450. And they don't take any insurance because their appts are too. Long... well they're too long because you're in the damn waiting room for 3 hours before even being seen. Also my next check up appt was $450 and I can't afford it so I've tried getting ahold of them for a week now and no answer( which is funny because when I was there there was 2-3 girls sitting at the front desk doing nothing. It wasn't busy at all so not sure what happened. Now I'm stuck again after paying hundreds without answers still. I recommend her as a doctor but this office is awful and I think they need a different approach. My psychiatrist does more

I have seen over 20 different doctors/ specialists trying to figure out my symptoms. I have been told I was anxious, hormonal, sensitive, depressed, and completely dismissed by the majority of them. After a lot of personal research I was able to convince one of them to test me for POTS. After a positive tilt table test, I was fortunately referred to Dr. Desai. My first appointment with her was the first time in this entire medical nightmare that I felt like someone was listening to me and believing me. And for the first time , I had hope. Dr. Desai took the time to go through my entire history and put all of the pieces together of my very complicated case. Every single suspicion she had, has been correct. I have had multiple diagnosis that I'm not sure would have happened without her . Because of her , I am finally getting treatments and am getting further testing to hopefully lead to healing, recovery, and getting my life back. I cannot thank Dr. Desai enough!
