About Dr. Hiva Vakil, MD
Dr. Vakil completed his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston at Tufts University School of Medicine. He then completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography. Dr. Vakil is well published in his field and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and American Society of Echocardiography.

He walked in without looking at my charts and asking why I was there, when originally he ordered me a heart monitor. He stepped out and came back in 15 seconds. I had a monitor on for 3 days. I'm not sure how he was able to look at the results in such a short time. He asked about my family heart history and proceeded to shut me down when I mentioned both my grandparents had heart problems, by him saying that's irrelevant. He was rude and condescending.
