I had a mild heart attack and went to the heart hospital in Mesa. Dr. Wilma treated me with a balloon angioplasty, probably saving my life. She's a good doctor, seems to care about me a lot. Unfortunately my experience here has been a bit mixed. When I was finally discharged, I did end up coming back to the hospital. I had trouble adjusting to the medication and the symptoms from the medication didnt feel too much different than the mild heart attack I had. My first visit to the center was good. Especially the tech that did the heart sound analysis. But there are some problems...I want to keep coming here, and most of all, I want this office to improve, so I hope the read this: This office is highly disorganized. I had to remind the NP what my medications were, which were changed after my second emergency room visit. Fortunately, my son took pictures and I had them on my phone for her. This doesnt give me much confidence in my dosages. According to Dr. Yilma, my rehab is very important, involving a change of diet, regular exercise and frequent check ups...I had a monitor on for 20 days. Yet I didnt see the doctor for a real follow up for several weeks after my monitor was done, and a scare visit I had with NP cancelled my main appointment. In fact I was never rescheduled at all. Im afraid of having a reblock of my artery because my condition prevented the use of a stent, and the medication is debilitating to the point I feel sick regularly already. The front office didnt setup a patient portal with me, im internet savvy, and that might help with my care. I desperately want to comply with the doctor and get healthy. The office has been good about setting up appointments and does answer the phone for me. But my rehab seems all over the place, and I fear, while they are having trouble keeping my schedule and medications straight...which should never happen...im going to have further heart problems I didnt even need to have. I hope to keep coming here, so I hope the office reads these reviews.

After interacting with this office over the last two and half years, I've witnessed a complete lack of office professionalism that borders on gross incompetence. Dr. Yelma, herself is a knowledgeable and caring professional, her office staff, however, including her husband, who interferes with patient maters, leaves much to be desired. I have experienced literally every problem from incorrect billing procedures and incorrect authorization procedures to the inability to even correctly schedule appointments. I have also witnessed verbal mistreatment of patients, including myself by the staff and the Husband, as well as the husbands mistreatment of staff up to and including legal action the employees filed against the husband and the office in 2023-2024. I was approached and gave a signed statement of what I had witnessed in this office in regards to the employee harassment. The husband is arrogant, verbally dismissive, argumentative, and interjects himself into patient maters even though he is not a practicing doctor. As of, literally, today, I have severed any ongoing relationship with this office going forward until her husband is removed from the office. I have experienced his adversarial mentality several times now first hand, and I am absolutely astounded by his mentality and behavior, especially in an office dealing with patients with heart problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Yelma for her knowledge and caring professionalism, but I would highly discourage anyone with a low threshold of patience and temperament from dealing with her office or her husband.

Elena Carretta is an exceptional family practitioner who truly goes above and beyond for her patients. She is not only highly knowledgeable and skilled but also incredibly caring and compassionate. She takes the time to listen, explain, and ensure that we feel comfortable and confident in our healthcare decisions. Her dedication to her patients is evident in every visit, and we are so grateful to have her as our family practitioner. We highly recommend Elena Carretta to anyone looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about their well-being

I been going to this place for years. I love the friendly staff. Dr. Roger's is awsome and goes above and beyond for you if you have any health issues or concerns, he takes his time with you and listens. He is the best care physician I would recommend to anyone!! Dr. Yilma is a superior cartologist who goes above and beyond for you. She is professional and amazing. I can not say enough! So I highly suggest this office. There staff is friendly and professional and amazing !!

I just left the office. Fantastic staff. I saw Brittany and Monique. They were very kind, listened, and explained everything they would be testing for. I'm so happy I found them. The best part is they answer their phone and don't take a month to schedule you an appointment. 100% highly recommend.
