Over the past 2 years I have been struggling with trying to figure out what has been wrong with my heart. The heart institute was amazing at first wanting to help me. Eventually they started to not caring and not listen to my concerns not matter how many times I voiced them. Eventually they had to place a pacemaker but I had no follow up. And my primary doctor I had didn't even do it. 3 months later my symptoms did not get better so the ended up sending me to surgery again to have ablations. This was done by a new doctor to me and he told me the morning of my surgery I didn't need it and I should just go home. I refused because that's what I was told I needed. They found a whole new heart arrhythmia i was put on blood thinners after that surgery. I had to for three months. I had many complications post ablation especially with my incision site. They told me that I had nothing wrong and my pain was fake. I believed them. Fast forward the 3 months of blood thinners no one called me to tell me if I need to stay on them or if I can be off. I called many times and heard from no one. Eventually they scheduled me for a follow up a month later. She told me my surgeries failed and that they don't know what's wrong with me and they would call me. 3 months went by and nothing. By Yesterday I want to the ER because I having severe pain from my pacemaker. I was told everything looked okay. I went down to the heart institute because at this point I still can't move my arm and I'm in tears from the pain. Instead of helping me they lied to me. I was told my pacemaker pain was pneumonia. I immediately went to my primary care. Where they had me do another Xray. I do not have pneumonia my lungs are clear. I have advocated for my self over and over. They do not listen nor do they care. I would not recommend you seek care from this place.
