The staff were all very nice and professional. I be am grateful for them and their expertise!
The room was cold and unwelcoming (the people are great). Air fresheners were being used. I would not recommend using them considering the patient profile visiting the clinic. Our wait time was over 45 minutes, but there was a medical emergency ongoing with another patient. My review would be 5 stars if the air fresheners were tossed.

Dr. Mitchell saved both my parents' lives. I was their caregiver for 10 yrs. & saw them finish their race well to the heavenly cosmos holding their hands. Tommy "Coach" Jackson & Margaret Jackson were married for 63 years partly due to Dr. Mitchell's persistence, research knowledge, care, & empathy about their diseased cardiovascular systems.
At 51, Dr. Mitchell saved me. As a seasoned educator of 28 yrs, & PhD candidate, I felt ill, lethargic & numb. Other doctors dismissed me as "getting older, stressed, or anxious w/no testing." A cardiologist in town put me down for an appt. 3 weeks out.
The heart clinic took me in immediately. Mitchell found 3 blood clots embedded in my legs & one had been thrown to my aorta & I was dying. The staff's attentive listening skills, amazing memory as physician-researchers, & empathy as human beings saved me. I was immediately put in surgery & my life was saved/24 -48 hrs. to spare.
Upon entry to the clinic, I was seen before finishing the paperwork, tested thoroughly, & treated equitably, humanely, & responsibly. A personal shout-out to Kayla the tech! Her bedside manner is that of an angel & can calm the scales off a dragon. A special hug for the lovely receptionist -you are Mother Theresa reincarnated. You graciously interact w/ abhorrently mean & obstinate patients that I perhaps might have wanted to have arrested if I were in your place. Dear lady, you are a gift.
The nurses, booking staff, receptionists, lab techs, CRNP, & doctors are cardio-current, kind, patient, professional, generous, efficient, effective, understanding & non-dismissive.
I want to personally thank each & every one of you for your constant care & concern for my well-being.
It is with the utmost, highest praise, personal, ethical, moral, & scientific integrity lens that I give The Chest Pain Walk-In Clinic of Opelika, Alabama a 100 % rating. Dr. Mitchell, Tracy Williams, & staff, you saved my life, LITERALLY. All I can do is form a few words of praise for you which seems silly in comparison to what you do every day. I am grateful to see a group of healthcare professionals care so deeply, act so ethically, move so quickly, & maintain a consistent moral code of integrity throughout the entire staff in their interactions with patients. I know I am receiving the best cardiovascular care in Alabama. Grateful for my life because of ALL of you!

The chest clinic saved my life. I was having pain and shortness of breath. They determined I had 3 blockages. One at 100 and two at 95 and should not have been walking. After 5 bypasses. I'm doing great. Thank you Dr Mitchel, Tracy Williams, and the other wonderful experts at the clinic.

Lady at the front desk was HORRIBLY rude. I walked in and she asked "what do you need" and told her my pcp referred me and I needed to check in to be seen. She got frustrated and asked if I had an appointment. I told her no, and asked if this was not a walk in clinic? She rolled her eyes and said "well I need ID and insurance". She acted like it was such an inconvenience to do her job and there was no one else in the waiting area. Had I not really needed to be seen this would have made me walk out immediately. I get people may have bad days but that is no reason to be rude to a patient when you work at a walk in clinic with no appointment required. I am only giving 3 stars because the nurse practitioner I saw was well worth the wait. She was kind and attentive to what was going on and even checked my previous ER records to get a background on why I was here. She deserves 10 stars but due to the rude receptionist I'm giving 3.
