I'm so grateful for the amazing staff and caregivers at GRMC. The nurses and techs went out of their way to make sure I was taking care of and comfortable during my several days in their care. The several doctors that I worked with between the ER to surgical work as a team to make sure that nothing was missed. Phlebotomy was extra careful with my unique situation. Labs were handled with care. Yes, I know that the hospital needs an update when it comes to rooms and general ambience, but all in all... I could not have asked for a better outcome.

August 8, 2025, my 88 year old mother fell in the driveway just outside the door. She requested to go to Gadsden Regional. When she fell, she hit her right temple, right shoulder, right elbow, right wrist and right hip. At the ER they x- rayed her and insisted nothing was broken. Mom couldn't stand the pain of someone touching her right arm. I was persistent in that it should be x-rayed again as breaks don't always show up right away on x-rays. They admitted her overnight. The next day, as an aside comment, when Mom was being discharged, the Dr said her clavicle was fractured. Then he said she might need a sling. The whole time she was there no one bothered to put a sling on her. After we got home and I had time to read over the discharge paperwork I discovered that the doctor took her off medicine she had not been on for a month. He also told her to continue a medicine she wasn't on. Plus he took her off 2 of her heart meds without an explanation. You see, no one went over the discharge paperwork with us. My concern was that the doctor obviously didn't look at her current medication list. After seeing our family doctor, we found out that the ER labeled her with an AKI (acute kidney injury) without any lab work to meet the criteria. I was disappointed in the lack of responsible medical knowledge on that visit. Everyone was very nice though. One thing I struggled with was the lack of parking at the ER entrance. All the parking spots were full. The last 2 times I was there with my mom, I had to park around to the side of the whole building. I have a back problem, one disc slides off the one below. This makes it difficult and painful to walk very far. Let alone up an incline, around the side of the hospital in the rain. Where are those volunteers with the golf carts to assist people? Prior ER visit my mom had pain in her back and stomach. They got to her quickly. Placed her on a bed in the hallway. Did a urine test and x-rays. Then came and told us she was being discharged. I had to insist that we see a doctor or nurse practioner first. Actually I told them we were not leaving until we saw one of them and they told us what was causing my mom so much pain. It was a UTI. Prior ER visit. Every one from the ER reception desk, ER doctors and nurses, radiology, support staff, 6th floor nurses, surgical nurses, GI doctor, food service and 6th floor support staff were exceptionally nice and kind. I love Gadsden Regional. The ER exam rooms and halls were filled with sick people. The excellent staff did their best to keep everyone comfortable until a room upstairs could be obtained for them.

I had the best pre-op and holding team! The surgery schedule was running a few hours behind and they took amazing care of me. My surgery ran late so I was late returning to the day surgery room. I felt very, very rushed to get out. They were nice but super abrupt and clearly ready for me to go. But again, my pre-op care was great!

I've been home for a day. I was on the 7th floor. For a little over a week. And I just can't stop thinking about the care that I received. Came in with a ruptured appendix. Doctors, nurses. Techs And even housekeeping. So caring. So attentive. I get emotional writing this. I met a lot of amazing nurses a lot traveling nurses. For each and everyone. I feel one above and beyond for me. I tried to let them know that everyday. How much There are appreciated. And I just feel compelled to write in a review to say the same. The ER was fast reacting and also amazing, but I don't really remember much. Too much pain. I am a 54-year-old woman who has been hospitalized of course in the past for other things but nothing this major. Moved here from Florida 3 years ago. And I'll have to say this is one of the best hospitals I've ever experienced, whether through me or family members. Keep up the good work, the compassion and all that you do. Thank you..

I would highly recommend Gadsden Regional Medical Center to anyone who has a medical issues. The ER staff were super nice and acted rapidly to get me back and seen by a doctor. The doctor and staff acted immediately to get my emergency under control and explained everything being done to myself and my family every step of the way. He was super smart and very through. The staff and doctors in the CICU were wonderful and took great care of me and did a great job of keeping me calm and comfortable during my stay. I have absolutely no complaints about any part of my experience at Gadsden Regional and feel that they should be very proud of their staff and doctors for their performance during a medical emergency and the care patients receive from all of the staff and doctors throughout their entire experience. Once again I would highly recommend Gadsden Regional Medical Center to anyone who is seeking very through medical treatment that comes with great doctors, amazing staff and comforting care.
