This physician and specialist in Cardiology is one in a million when it comes to deserving a five star rating. The compassionate care, quality, bedside manner and holistic approach he provides is not something you learn. These characteristics describe Dr. Cawthon not only as a physician, but as the person he is and one who genuinely cares for others. My most recent experience as a 37 year old male involved a routine checkup with Dr. Cawthon. The approach he took, as described above, led to a decision that saved my life. He listened as I spoke, evaluated me thoroughly as all physicians should do. I ultimately was directed to the Emergency Department and it was discovered that I had a Deep Vein Thrombosis that made way to my lung. I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism with additional clots in the same lung. My cardiac markers were additionally elevated. My life is guided by God, beginning to end. Dr Cawthon is a very thorough. He spends time with his patients and listens to all our concerns. He is so nice and caring. Also his staff is very sweet and helpful.
