Dr Mike Honan is an extraordinary Preventative, General and Invasive Cardiologist. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama, and received his MD degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was a four-year recipient of a State of Alabama Merit Scholarship, and graduated with Honors. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, and fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Duke University Medical Center where he maintains a relationship through the Duke University Chief Medical Residents Society and Duke University Cooperative Cardiovascular Society.

This doctor saved my life literally! Dr. Honan did not rush my diagnosis so I could go home. He paid attention to my EKG results, took the necessary labs, & performed a life saving procedure. I'm forever grateful for whatever it was that placed him in my hospital room that day! The after care has been nothing short of amazing!
This was my first visit with Dr. Honan. He is a very caring doctor. He takes his time to check and make sure he can help you and covers other issues that may help you too. The staff there is very kind and helpful too. Makes it easy for someone that is nervous to relax and not worry. Glad my physician recommended going here.

I was followed by doctor Jerry Chandler before he retired. Chose Dr. Honan when I moved to the river. Which by then he had his office in Birmingham. lol he is a very caring Dr. With me being a retired OR-RN Educator that lives with life-threatening allergies. Which is the reason I don't work and had to retire. I want take any doctors medicine without checking with 2 pharmacist and doing my own research. bless him he understands me . He is a wonderful doctor. Would recommend him to anyone.
