I have never been treated in a more sexist or dismissive manner by a doctor. I have POTS, and every time I came in with a complaint about being unable to do anything without my heart spiking to 170BPM and instead of treating me at all, he would crouch down and get in my face, and in a high pitched voice would say "well don't do that!", usually with "that" being something akin to getting water from the fridge. He never ordered any actual tests to confirm my POTS like a stress test or tilt table test, just got an ultrasound, told me to wear compression socks, and sent me on my way. He refused to treat me, yet wanted me to keep seeing him. Despite this, half the time 3 days before my appointment I would wait 6-8 months for, his office would call and tell me he was suddenly on vacation and I needed to rebook 4-6 more months out. One of the times I was already in the office when they informed me he was actually out! This happened to me THREE times despite me only seeing him in office 5 times.
