Echoing others that the wait times here are unreasonable. I will also say that there is little to no cell service in the building, and no public or accessible wifi. Im trying to work remotely while bringing my mother to the doctor, but i cant even check my email. This combination (long wait and no connection) is extremely frustrating and makes the patients and their support feel neglected.

Terrible practice and terrible billing department. They lied and stated that with my insurance I would pay $3-4,000 for a procedure then told me if I self paid it would only be $1,200. I went that route assuming they were truthful. They told me I could make monthly payments of $25 on that $1,200, but after the bill arrived, the billing department stated $50 was the minimum. Dr Mathew Sample billed my insurance for a 45m initial assessment and only was face to face for 10-15 min tops, they triple charged me for an ECG test, then charged my insurance an extra $400 to "read" my self pay procedure test despite the fact that the results were on my chart prior to them even reviewing it. They called me 2 months after my results were on the portal to tell me I was fine. That was the $400 charge... a phone call from a nurse. I tried to call the office manager twice and after 2 weeks I received a call from her just to tell me "that's just the way this works" and she then hung up the phone. A disrespectful, unethical, and fraudulent practice that I will ensure everyone I'm in contact with knows about.

By far the worst experiences I've ever had. The staff are polite and i never waited more than thirty minutes. But thats where the good stops! Communication is zero, I received multiple calls about instructions for diagnostics test each stating something different. Started having test equipment delivered to my house without any knowledge it was being sent. On the day of testing, I arrived early for my test and was told I couldn't have the test because my heart rate was to high (90bpm) they wanted to start the IV and give some meds to lower my rate to around 50bpm per the nurse. I advised her that i had drove myself because the phone calls I received with instructions said i could return to work afterwards. I also told her i was having the test done because of low heart rate (in the 40s). She then suggested that may be the doctor would do a stress test instead. Then a arteriogram was brought up. I ended up leaving the appointment with out getting any test done and was told someone would contact me next week. This was a total waste of time and drain on my insurance. I highly advise anyone thinking of using this facility to rethink your options. The doctors come highly recommended but the staff and lack of communication is unacceptable.

I have been a CVA patient for a number of years. Unfortunately, that relationship is now over. The practice has apparently been purchased by the Baptist Health Medical Group. While I DO believe the cardiologists there are excellent physicians and I know the staff to be nice people, a patient must deal with utter dysfunction before he or she is seen by a doctor. It is an absolute mess. There are other choices for people in the Birmingham market seeking cardiology services. I am grateful to have found an alternative to CVA.

Doctors in the back were great. Front desk was rude. I got charged a copay accidentally after telling them I had met my deductible. When I was going back up there for a refund she didn't even look at me and was very rude for no reason. She simply could've done her job the first time or had been respectful what so ever.
