Birmingham Heart Clinic at St. Vincent's Birmingham

I liked how clean & welcoming the place looks. I came in for my appointment and was greeted by Jasmine. She's a very warming, caring, high spirited person. From just my being there, engaging in a very short conversation before being called back, she lifted my spirits and made me feel like the weight of the world wasn't on my shoulders anymore!

I was able to get an appointment as a new patient within days. I went into the office nervous and apprehensive of what was going to be found wrong. Dr. Turner and his staff were so wonderful and put me at ease. I felt like I was listening to you and truly cared for. I left the office feeling hopeful I'm relieved. This is absolutely the BEST cardiac care ever!!!

This place is the most accommodating and wonderful clinic ever. I accidentally went to the wrong one, and they called for me to make sure the other would still see me, even though I was extremely late. I was not expecting them to do all that for me, but it was awesome. Then, I had to come back to get a Holter monitor, and they were so nice.

Dr Hunter ....i would give her 10 stars if allowed. This morning, I found out she is no longer with St Vincents. If anyone hears where she is practicing, please post to let us know. She is that good!!!!

Do not waste your time with Dr Towery if you are not inclined to use statins. He will refuse to treat you. I went in to see about a stress test with nothing but high cholesterol and a primary doctor that wanted to make sure I didn't have any heart issues. Upon notifying dr Towery that I would not take statins to reduce my cholesterol, I told me to find another cardiologist. He and his staff were nice, but patient care should be his primary interest. Since there are alternative means of reducing cholesterol, refusal based on this alone with no evidence or myocardial events is a little excessive.
