This is just my opinion. Not a very good doctor. Had to wait over an hour. No one else in office waiting but me. That's not the low ranking though. I went to get a release on my heart so I can have a hernia surgery. This dr. Said my heart sounded good for the surgery but "I want to see some more results from test ". He wanted me to go through a stress test and some other tests. When I said "no", I believe it made him mad. All I wanted was a simple release. NOT all these tests. Please find another Dr.

Dr Fernandez is a very professional and educated heart doctor. My husband went in for a visit and Dr Fernandez just by hearing his symptoms knew there was possibly something seriously wrong with my husbands heart. He told us to skip the stress test and go to the hospital for a heart cath. He told him to bring a change of clothes and personal items in case he needed to stay over. My husband ended up needing open heart surgery. Dr Fernandez made arrangements with my husbands consent to go to Birmingham for his surgery. He saved my husbands life.

Doctor ordered a test,insurance company said test was not covered. They called from his office and told us not covered. WE SAID DO NOT DO TEST.They did test without our permission and now charging us Very disappointed in staff and will not go back Make sure you get everything in writing

About 15 years ago he did an arterialgram on my husband and he was in such a hurry to go on vacation he didn't even allow my husband to get numbed from the anesthesia before he began poking him trying to find the artery that two other doctors had no trouble finding and then almost killed him by shooting too much dye in his kidneys. I would never recommend this dr to anyone unless you ready and wanting to die!

My sister had no heart doctor and he took her right in ...he was my friends heart heart in the past and he does such a great job....I will tell everyone to go to him.
